If you nominate yourself, we will ask for two independent supporters at the last step.

Nominations in English and other Asian languages are welcome. Where needed, the secretariat may translate the nomination for assessment without changing its meaning.

Your contact details are used only to verify and manage this nomination. Personal stories, health information and family details are treated with care and will not be published without the nominee’s permission.

She may be a farmer, auntie, makcik, caregiver, market seller, craftswoman, teacher, nurse, founder, professional or executive.

Every honouree receives the Jelita title, an official Who’s Who listing and one invitation to the annual gala. Additional arrangements are optional.

What happens next

A careful process, clearly explained.

A nomination begins the conversation. It does not automatically make personal information public or guarantee recognition.

01Eligibility checkThe secretariat checks completeness and eligibility—not merit.
02Endorsement and nominee consentThe endorser is verified, and she approves any listing before publication.
03Panel assessmentEligible stories are assessed in stages using the published criteria.
04Results confirmedConflicts and unusual scoring differences are reviewed.
05Honourees announcedOnly approved information is added to the public record, once every 12 months at most.

Privacy and dignity

Her story still belongs to her.

Nominations can include sensitive experiences involving health, family, hardship or recovery. They are reviewed confidentially. Before any personal story or sensitive detail is published, the nominee will be contacted and her permission obtained.

The secretariat may contact the nominator or nominee only to verify information, administer the process and communicate the outcome.
